Our Process
1. Remove the old roofing. - There may be multiple layers of roofing on your roof. The roof should be torn down to the wood decking.
2. Evaluate the roof. - Examine the wood decking and determine which pieces or trouble spots need to be addressed before moving further.
3. Install ice/water barrier. - Add an ice and water barrier around the roof to prevent ice build-up.
4. Install drip edge. - The metal drip edge will be placed along the bottom edge of your home, over the top of the ice and water barrier.
5. Install roofing underlayement. - This may be a felt paper or synthetic, which is water resistant.
6. Install shingles. - Nail in shingles from the bottom of the roof to the top, staggering the shingles.
7. Seal vents and pipes. - Seal off roof vents and pipes to prevent water from these vulnerable areas.
